Our core competencies encompass the following:
We have acquired a respectable, hard to match size fleet and a selection of specialised equipment needed for over-dimensional transport services, heavy haulage, road train services, hot shot deliveries, container movements and rail and sea freight handling, all available nationwide.

Additionally, we have a longstanding and national network of sub-contractors to support our own fleet when operating at peak capacity and to provide additional specialised equipment.
The strength of our national logistics network comes from our offices and depots around Australia, which in addition to transport and freight handing offer warehousing and storage, as well as accessibility of our fleet and equipment. Additionally, it comes from our relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors in strategic areas –from wharf and import/export at Australia’s major ports to regional and remote communities.
In addition to our own depots in Adelaide (head office), Perth, Karratha, Mount Gambier, Melbourne, Darwin and Brisbane, we have strategic partnerships in all capital cities and various major provincial towns, enabling us to provide seamless logistics solutions.
We support our client base not only with many regular services between all capital cities, but we can also access various remote locations throughout Australia. We have the know-how and the resources to complete virtually any transport and logistics project.

BT Transport & Logistics’ ultimate aim is to provide customers access to timely and accurate information. We continue to invest in bespoke applications as well as integration of software to enhance our workflow and create further efficiencies. The key elements of our IT infrastructure are explored in this section.
BT Transport & Logistics and our specialised divisions S&S Freight Services and LDJ Logistics can offer paperless Proof of Delivery (POD) straight into the customer’s inbox, and available 24/7 in the customer portal, thanks to the BT Transmate App and Transport Management System. All of our drivers use the app to complete consignments and submit PODs via their smartphones or tablets.
BT Transport & Logistics’ Transport Management Software is Transmate. The software is tailored to the needs of the business and covers all facets of transport operations, warehousing, workshop and accounts. It offers electronic document management and comprises many more features.
As a paperless solution, Transmate allows for Sign on Glass via its mobile app. A key advantage to our customers is the online customer portal, which grants our customers 24/7 access to the platform that enables them not only to view information and retrieve Proof of Delivery (POD), but also to make transport bookings.
PODs can be looked up via a login, or be emailed automatically upon delivery (or upon re-connection to a mobile internet network, if the point of delivery has no network coverage). Our drivers use the mobile app for obtaining an electronic signature, completing and submitting the POD and, where applicable, enclosing additional client paperwork.
In addition to fulfilling their general operational functions, the following IT solutions assist us with aspects of compliance and Health & Safety:
