BT Managing Director Mal Beattie is gearing up for the 2021 Oz Outback Odyssey, a 10-day road trip that raises funds for charity, with the main beneficiary of the event being the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Since much of our business takes our drivers out into some of Australia’s most remote regions, many of our staff know first hand how difficult it can be to access vital services in such places. Anyone who has experienced Outback remoteness surely has a high appreciation for just how invaluable the Royal Flying Doctor Service is to anyone living, working and travelling in remote Australia.
This year, the overall event sponsorship goal of the Oz Outback Odyssey is to raise in excess of $180,000! This cannot be achieved through entry fees alone, so BT Transport & Logistics has set the ambitious goal to raise 35k, and many of our awesome suppliers, customers and partners have already come on board.
While the Oz Outback Odyssey participants have only 10 days to conquer the distance from Adelaide to Broome, we have a little more time to reach our fundraising goal.
With 7 weeks to spare until departure, we hit our fundraising target: an astonishing $35,000!
And in the lead-up to the event, our amazing sponsors keep on giving, with cash and auction item donations still being contributed. We simply cannot thank these generous businesses enough!
So if you’re looking for a supplier that gives back to the community, why not give these companies a call:
Bushmans Tanks are donating a TT1100, a 5,000 Litre Storm Water Tank, which will be auctioned off during the event.
And you may have seen one of the water tank-shaped collection boxes around the place, with collected funds also supporting the RFDS.
Reliable Petroleum have donated a Porsche Experience Package (Silver) at The Bend Motorsport Park, which will also be auctioned off during the Outback Odyssey event.
